THE COMPACT PROFESSIONAL AUDIO SYSTEM FROM FUNKTION-ONE IS USED TO SOUND THE MICHELIN-STARRED RESTAURANT "LA CONDESA" IN PARIS

La Condesa combines favours and sounds for the delight of the senses

La Condesa, located in the heart of Paris, is the first restaurant of chef Indra Carrillo Perea. Awarded a Michelin star in 2019, this distinction made him the first Mexican chef to receive this recognition in France. His quest for precision translates into a search for excellence for all the senses, including hearing.

The restaurant’s architecture, designed by Camille Flammarion, needed to be equipped with an audio system that was up to the level of its cuisine. Eventually, chef Indra contacted his cousin, Ramón Salazar of Loto Audio (Funktion-One distributor – Mexico), who contacted Solution One to assist him in the search and provision of an audio system that met his high standards of excellence.

After studies and modelling, soundproofing work was carried out to improve the acoustics in order to ensure optimal sound distribution and allow volume control throughout the restaurant, even in the kitchen!

The Funktion-One Compact system is the smallest system in the brand’s range. It meets the needs of both fixed sound systems for small-capacity venues and mobile sound systems such as parties for a hundred people.

Chef Indra sums it up with a delicious formula: “Funktion One’s sound design gently leads us to align our mind, body and spirit to embark on this succulent journey through flavours, textures and colours that will last in our memory. Even before taking the first bite, the journey has already begun.”

Alexander Danielewicz from Loto Audio added : “The system, like all Funktion-One sound systems, delivers low distortion, high efficiency and superb natural sound. The signature Funktion-One midrange purity and acoustic imaging yield great results for this installation.”

For this installation, two models from the Funktion-One Compact range were chosen: the ultra-compact F5 mid-range speaker and the SB8 subwoofer. Quick and easy to install, the Compact system offers a natural sound quality that is not typically found in speakers of this size and allows you to enjoy the acoustic signature of Funktion-One sound even in small spaces. That is the reason why these speakers are found in high-end bars and restaurants all over the world.

Chef Indra pays special attention to this aspect : “Music is such an important element and sometimes not taken into account in fine dining restaurants… We wanted to create a unique environment to all of the senses, an immersive experience with the best possible sound system! The answer then seemed obvious given the outstanding audio quality of Funktion-One.”
