DEEE

Any product marked with the WEEE logo (crossed-out wheelie bin with a line underneath) should not be disposed of with normal household waste, as products containing electrical or electronic components may be recycled and could also be harmful to the environment. ‘they are sent to the landfill.
The UK WEEE regulations impose direct liability on producers (i.e. manufacturers/importers/brand owners) such as SOLUTION-One for the placement of electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) into the UK market. Every obligated producer such as ourselves must adhere to an approved producer compliance scheme and we chose a scheme called Comply Direct Ltd who subsequently registered SOLUTION One as a UK WEEE producer with the Environment Agency (EA ).
Our proposed system for the recovery, treatment and recycling of WEEE Business to Business (B2B) under the UK WEEE regulations:
SOLUTION One is obliged to cover the costs of end-of-life disposal of WEEE relating to all SOLUTION One EEE placed on the site. market after August 13, 2005, whether we sold directly to a business end user or whether the business end user purchased the EEE from a SOLUTION-One reseller.
All WEEE must be sent at the end of its life for treatment and recycling at an Approved and Authorized Treatment Facility (AATF) and evidentiary notes must be obtained from the AATF to show that this has happened. Under the WEEE Regulation, it should be noted that WEEE must be returned at the end of its life as whole devices and must not have been dismantled into individual parts before a request for collection is made.
Through our chosen WEEE producer compliance program, Comply Direct Ltd, SOLUTION One will arrange for the collection of mandatory WEEE from its sites. WEEE will first be assessed for reuse, as this is a priority under the WEEE regulations, before being transported to an AATF for treatment and recycling.
As part of this verification process, you or professional end users will be required to complete a WEEE collection request form online via the Comply Direct website. Comply Direct will verify the details entered in the form ourselves before arranging a collection. Alternatively, you can contact us directly.
We hope that you can assist us in the collection of WEEE from professional end users in accordance with the above.
